The incident that occurred at about 9pm on Wednesday, along Ogba road, in Ijaiye Local Government area of Lagos State, led to power outage in the community.

An eyewitness (the man who escaped death) speaking exclusively to techscoops said, he was seated in a tricycle but left off to buy food. Before his return back to the tricycle popularly called ‘keke’, a truck had pulled down electric cables, fuse box and others on the “keke” that he sat in. The man said he would have died if he was on the scene when the accident occurred.

Techscoops gathered that while the damaged cables were initially live, it did not hurt anyone and the incidence recorded no casualty – zero injured, zero dead.

Despite this, Techscoops correspondent who was live on the scene, observed that passersby exercised caution around the already cordoned off area to avoid stepping on naked cables.

At the time of filing this report, security agents had detained the truck driver but it was not confirmed if Lasema had been alerted.
